Project Telecom
Newark
Project Telecom was completed in 2006 and comprises flexible space to accommodate offices, reception and various multi-media suites alongside IT Servers, storage spaces and staff areas.
The project was designed to a high specification and utilised innovative techniques that were particularly forward-thinking at the time of completion. Alongside providing space for hot-desking, the whole site had secure wireless capability and a complex Building Management System integrated. The use of the building called for raised computer floors throughout to optimise flexibility, as well as the integration of a significant on-site data bank for future-proofing.
An uninterruptible power supply was put in place as part of the buildings complex electrical system to protect the services and equipment in the event of main grid power failure. The cost of the project was £2.8 million.
