A Development of Fourteen New Build Dwellings Within the Green Belt

Guy Taylor Associates led this project which sought to create a luxury residential development on a former farm in the Nottingham Green Belt at Burton Joyce. The scheme, which is nearing completion, consists of 14 traditionally-inspired homes, all to a bespoke design on a hillside overlooking the Trent Valley. Our work took this scheme from early stage concept development, to negotiating outline and full planning applications with the Local Planning Authority, before overseeing the construction phase of the project on site. The success of the scheme stems from developing a vision for the site through a masterplan which responds to the rural setting, agricultural character, and challenging slope of the site.

We were responsible for co-ordinating a team of consultants to develop the technical and detail design of the dwellings, working with the developer and individual buyers to create high-quality homes reflective of the traditional local architectural palette and uniquely suited to the needs of their occupants.
